CSS Text Magic

(as seen in B3ta, and the idea subsequently nicked by me)

What's it all about?

In June 2010, one of the articles in the B3ta newsletter showed a pretty cool CSS trick that shows a page of text, but when it's highlighted, an image shows up underneath

This is my piss-poor attempt to rip it off

How does it work?

The CSS uses the ::selection pseudo-class to block-colour highlighted text. Or something like that. Ask a web designer or someone.

How do I do it?

Easy! Just choose a picture using the form on the left, give it a name if you want to, choose which book you want to hide your filth behind and then upload it. The script will then do all the work and show the text in a new window/tab

The one thing I ask is that if your picture if filth, then please tick the NSFW (Not Safe For Work) box.

And for the love of god, please, no Goatse, Tub Girl, Lemon Party or Two Girls One Cup!!! I really don't want to have to bleach my eyes and brain to forget it.

There's a handy Last 10 Files section over there, or you can click here to browse through all the images that have been uploaded

If a filename is highlighted in red then that means it's been flagged as NSFW, so you shouldn't look at it if it'll mean a bollocking from someone. Although if you do look at it when you shouldn't, then you've only got yourself to blame.
